Ann Marie Brennan
Ann Marie Brennan is Promoter of Christian Life Community (CLC) in the New York region. She is coordinator of the CLC International Ecology working group and serves on the Formation team for CLC in the USA. With Bob Choiniere and Christine Kamp Cichello, she co-founded the Ignatian Encounter Ministry in 2021. She just completed ten years on the World CLC Executive Council, serving as VP in her second five-year term.
Since the CLC world assembly in 2013 which prioritized the issue of integral ecology, Ann Marie has been involved in national and international networks to promote eco-conversion, awareness, sustainability, and advocacy on ecological issues. She serves on the Global Membership Council for the Laudato Si Movement, CLC Liaison for EcoJesuit network, and Coordinator for Parish groups with the Archdiocese of Newark Environmental Justice Task Force. Since 2005, she has been a member of the CLC working group at the United Nations in NYC.
Born to Irish immigrants, she grew up in Woodlawn, a neighborhood in the Bronx, and attended St. Barnabas Elementary and High School, obtaining her BA degree at New York University in Mathematics Education. She received a certificate in Spiritual Development with the NY Archdiocesan Spiritual Development Center. Ann Marie was a mathematics teacher at St. Joseph Regional HS in NJ, as well as an editor of mathematics textbooks. She is married to Pat Brennan, and they have four grown children. She enjoys dancing, swimming, hiking, and bird walks with her family and friends.
